Program Overview

Master of Public Health MPH (International)

The MPH (International) course is designed with an objective to guide students with advanced disciplinary knowledge and skills to undertake population health roles in government, community and health service settings in any international setting including the Indian sub-continent.

UNSW has developed the course curriculum in partnership with India’s leading private health organisation, Apollo and it’s education arm, Medvarsity. This program can be undertaken full-time or part-time. Students will be in a dynamic, virtual classroom with other students from Australia and around the world, most of whom will be busy clinicians and health practitioners .

Eligibility for the program

The program is open to Indian nationals residing in India and the eligibility is as follows:

Professionals who are interested in rewarding opportunities in the health sector particularly in public health, health administration, health management and clinical research.

Students or Professionals with previous education and experience relevant to public health and/or health management, who who would like to advance further in knowledge and techniques

Students or Professionals who would like to have a general understanding of public health issues and its measures

Program Highlights

The MPH (International) course is designed in detail to focus on teaching the necessary methods, techniques and provide a certified internship – to help you pursue a higher level of education or career advancement.

Learn to integrate advanced knowledge and skills to prevent epidemics and protect population health

Understand sociocultural and political awareness of the diverse cultural settings that influence population health

Understand current global health – developments, perspectives and implications on population health

Learn techniques to Synthesize and Analyse complex population data to plan and evaluate public health strategies and appraise health promotion needs at local, national and international levels.

Network with other health professional in the online community to collaborate on research areas and better understand global trends

Interns will gain practical learning in organizational healthcare initiatives that may involve various procedures of healthcare services, analysis and evaluation of health related projects.

Internship – PHOP9143

A workplace internship of 6 weeks is a mandatory requirement for completing the course. This internship has to be completed in India in any of the Medvarsity recommended field sites.
